My German Shepherd loves it.
We live in Pittsburgh, but discovered Polka Dog on our Anniversary weekend in Boston.
We happened across a PD location and stopped In to pick up a treat for our dog Luke. The chicken Littles were initially his favorite treats. He loved them so much we started purchasing other treats including the chicken jerky. A piece of jerky is his after dinner treat each night. He LOVES the treats and practically prances across the room with his treat his mouth. We love that they are made in the USA and one ingredient! Thanks Polka dog
Although expensive, I have grown used to buying my small dog expensive treats made in the States after a scare a few years back from purchasing dog treats made elsewhere that resulted in the deaths and kidney damage to a number of dogs who had eaten them. I figure my little girl doesn't get that many each day and I get afford to get her high quality made in America treats as I want her to live a long, long life.
I was already in the habit of purchasing a couple other organic U.S. made treats but neither of them were crunchy. I picked up a container of these at local pet store. She loves them. I ended up purchasing a bulk size container. I took just a small bagful out, closed the bag tight and depending on how many she is having may put the remainder in the freezer until needed. I need to do a bit of research but in the past when I have gotten a great deal on expensive treats or purchased a bulk size that will last a year, I found they kept great in my freezer and were just as good at least from the dog's point of view, after thawing out.
Would definitely recommend these. My dog has the chicken flavor, but my experience has been when they really love one they will love the whole variety of flavors available.
Our picky eater Big German Shepherd Dog LOVES these... maybe a little too much, since he holds out for them over other treats. Difficult to find a treat canister that holds them since they are long. The 5 lb bulk bags are the way to go if you have a large dog, but the treats do start to break and crumble near the bottom of the bag-- so we end up using them as a food topper.
My little dog would run into a house on fire for a chick strip treat. He loves, loves, loves. them. Excellent quality. Have been purchasing them for years. I purchase the 2 lb bulk size. Great savings.
